Landscape design work in Southern Saratoga County

Service

Lawn Care in Southern Saratoga County

Mowing starts at $65 per visit. We mow weekly and mulch the clippings back into the lawn — because if you mow weekly, you don’t have to bag, and the clippings naturally fertilize the turf. Mulching while mowing is better for the yard long-term than bagging, even though bagging looks tidier for a day.

How it works

We work alongside you.

“We don’t show up with a finished plan and tell you to sign it. We walk your property, listen to what you actually want, and design alongside you.” — Mitchell

  1. 1

    Walk the property

We come out, look at light, drainage, and how you use the space, and talk through what you want it to become.

  2. 2

    Design it together

You get a plan plus AI-generated mockups, so you can see the yard before a single plant goes in.

  3. 3

    Refine until it's right

Swap plants, adjust materials, phase the work — we change the plan until it fits your yard and your budget.

  4. 4

    Install or quarterback

Our crew handles the planting and softscape — Mitchell stays involved throughout — and we quarterback trusted partners for any hardscape.

Common questions

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully licensed and insured. We take this seriously because a lot of operators out here aren’t, and when an uninsured crew damages a homeowner’s property they tend to disappear. We can send proof of insurance to your HOA or property manager on request.

How often should I mulch?

Once a year, thin coat. A lot of companies pile on three or four inches every spring, which builds up and eventually has to be hauled out — a mess you pay for twice. We use less, more frequently, and it looks better year-round.

Should landscape fabric go under mulch?

No. Fabric belongs under rock, not mulch. And weed barrier only lasts five to seven years at best — it’s not the silver bullet most homeowners are sold on. We’ll be honest with you about what actually works.

Should I mow weekly or every other week?

Weekly, ideally. If you mow weekly you don’t have to bag — the clippings naturally fertilize the lawn. Mulching while mowing is better for the yard long-term than bagging, even though bagging looks tidier for a day.

Do you guarantee your work?

We guarantee what we can actually stand behind. Metal edging is guaranteed for a year against heaving after the first winter. Sprinkler heads we install are guaranteed for a year. We don’t guarantee plants or grass — those depend on watering, weather, and disease, and the companies that do guarantee them are usually selling something they can’t deliver.

I don’t know what I want — can you help me figure it out?

That’s half the job. We bring you to the nursery to look through plants together, and we can pull up AI-generated mockups of design options on the spot so you can actually see what we’re proposing. No pressure, no force-feeding a design — we work with you.

What’s your service area?

Southern Saratoga County, NY — Ballston Lake, Ballston Spa, Burnt Hills, Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta, and Round Lake. If you’re nearby and not on the list, ask anyway.

Do you do snow plowing?

We do snow removal — snow blowing for walkways and driveways. Full plowing isn’t part of our service yet but may be in the future.

Do you do irrigation installation?

Right now we handle service, repair, spring start-up, and fall blow-out. We’re not installing new systems yet, but we may add that as we expand.
