Back patio redesign in Sheldon Hills
A small job with RJ in the Sheldon Hills neighborhood of Mechanicville — a complete redesign around the homeowner’s back patio, with a combination of mulch and rock for the border. The first time Mitchell and RJ had ever combined the two that way; the client loved it.
Scope
The homeowner wanted the area around her back patio reworked — beds, edging, and a defined border that would hold up year to year. Working alongside RJ, Mitchell designed and installed a hybrid border using mulch in the planted areas and rock along the structural edges. It gave the patio a strong, finished frame without looking heavy.
The proud detail
She was ecstatic and absolutely loved it. It was a really satisfying job, especially because that was when I was first starting out, so it felt great to be on the design end of things at such a young age.
